Koulev e Anasi… mwen, pa renmen

What does a KOULEV and ANASI have in common? Well first of all you probably wonder what they are. Let me explain… Koulev is Kreyol for snake and Anasi is Kreyol for a Tarantula. We found out that teenagers – especially teenage boys love them… and I don’t.

We’ve had a great week with a group of young people from Cheyenne WY and besides all the activities in the village, painting two Houses of Hope, walking the village, reaching out to the different schools, a down pour of rain and some football matches, the guys loved the spider hunts in the evening.  One night they caught a couple tarantulas as well as a snake, which they proudly showed. (mind you I was happy they found the snake before I would have stepped on it on our way to our gate). Thank you for Cheyenne Hills Church for bringing life and love to the village.
